Drowning in Your Woes

People with the personality characteristics associated with the Water element are full of empathy and compassion. They tend to feel the emotions of other people just as easily as they feel their own. These can be great personality characteristics and make Water element personalities people who devote themselves to caring for the planet and its beings. Water personalities tend to have birth visions like love, feel, or appreciate.

These types of personality also attract people seeking comfort, love and assurance. While all this can be a great thing, it can also sometimes be overwhelming for the Water types of personality people. It is not uncommon to find Water personalities experiencing problems of grief, sadness, or woe related to empathy, psychic vibrations, or compassion. They often fall into the trap of trying to fix the world and every stray that comes along losing sight of the fact that their appreciation, intention and joy are more beneficial to the planet than caretaking individual beings. They also often struggle with taking on negative energies from others. If these type of problems keep bothering you, then chances are you are a Water personality type and there are things you can do to guard yourself. Here are a couple to try:

Solutions
•Flower essence combination for people who are susceptible to psychic vibrations from others: Love in the Mist, Yarrow, Rhododendron and Tourmaline.

•A Psychic shield for men or women is generally a silver pendant worn on a chain around the neck. They are programmed to defend against psychic attack of any kind or degree and are keyed to the energy frequency of the person wearing them. They are designed to shield from or block negative energies from affecting you. In the case of Water personality types, these type shields can protect you from taking on the psychic vibrations and woes of others.

Since the personality characteristics associated with Water personalities make them natural empaths, psychics and healers of the world that are flowing with empathy and compassion, they often need to protect themselves from being drowned in the grief, despair and woes of those they work with. Understanding the Water element will go a long way towards giving Water personalities the ability to stay balanced and in their natural state of loving, feeling, and appreciating the gifts and beauty in their lives. If you are this type of personality, check out our Magical Element Water homestudy course. This course will provide you an in-depth study of the Water element and help you learn how to stay balanced in your Water energies.

How to Create Magic Rituals That Work for You

Magic rituals are a big part of a magical practice. That is why we wrote the Daily Rituals for Attracting What You Want in Life ebook that includes 36 daily rituals. That is enough to get you started on the path of using magic rituals and inviting magic that works into your life. But the real fun starts once you see what using daily rituals can bring to your life and learn how to start creating your own daily rituals. Here are some tips you can use when beginning to create your own magic rituals.

1. The ritual should allow you to connect with Spirit by helping you quiet your mind or by putting you in touch with physical sensation.

2. The ritual should disrupt your mechanical way of life and way of reacting to life allowing you to be conscious and aware of who you are, where you are and what your aims are.

3. Designing a daily ritual that uses universal principles or laws is much more effective than ones without this component added. Make sure your ritual follows Rules of the Road and principles such as "as above, so below" or the principles of the 4 elements.

4. It is easier to create what you want in life when you have a little help from your spirit friends. Your daily ritual could be one that enlists the help of angels, guides, totems, or other spirit beings.

5. A daily ritual can be created to help you control your reactions to situations and achieve aims and goals. For example, if you have a goal of attracting peace and harmony into your life, a daily ritual can be created to help you remember not to react with anger to a co-worker's insults.

Following these tips for creating daily rituals can help you make sure your magic rituals are strong and effective. Creating your own magic rituals personalizes them to your tastes and goals. It also has the added benefit of making you more involved and invested in continuing to do them on a daily basis. Experiment with making some rituals of your own and start attracting what YOU really want in life.

How Do You Do That Voodoo That You Do?

Easy as pie, of course! Voodoo is nothing more than a specialized branch of magic that focuses on the use of simulacra (such as voodoo dolls) to achieve magical results. Our Voodoo ebook teaches you the basics of this branch of magic. For example. You will learn to...
  • facilitate communication with people and higher beings
  • divination
  • long distance healing
  • magical protection and self defense
  • using magical tools
  • banishments
Having an understanding of certain magical operational laws will help you in your voodoo practice. With a foundation of these magical laws you will be better prepared to create safe and effective voodoo spells. For example, these laws will show you that ancient or esoteric names, words or symbols must not be used without a thorough and full understanding of their meanings, pronunciations and complete references. These operational laws include:

Similarity - physical likeness creates a psychic likeness and resonance, the degree of resonance being directly proportional to the degree of physical likeness.

Identity - a physical part (piece or component) remains part of and contains the psychic whole, unless special magical operations are done to alter this.

Relationship - once there has been physical contact, there is continuing psychic contact, unless special magical action is taken to break the contact.

Symbols - a symbol may be created for any object, process or other phenomenon.

Substitution - in a magical or psychic or spiritual operation a symbol may be substituted (in the operation) for any object, process or other phenomenon.

Contagion - something done to a part, a likeness or a symbol that produces a similar effect on the divided-whole, the likened or the symbolized.

Duplication - an effect created in the physical is duplicated in the psychic and an effect created in the psychic is duplicated in the physical ("As Above, So Below").

These laws give you an idea of how voodoo magic works. This type of practice can really enhance your magical practice. To learn more about how these operational laws work and can be used in developing your own magical voodoo practice, get the How To Do Voodoo ebook.

How Divination is a Very Useful Magic Tool

Divination is a very important magic tool for magical practitioners and can be done in a variety of ways. First, what exactly is divination? Divination is obtaining information by magical or psychic means that you cannot get through the physical senses of the body. By using divination, a practitioner is able to "check in" with the Universe before performing a spell, a voodoo type ritual, or other magical technique to make sure that what he or she is doing is in sync with Rules of the Road, the right procedure for what he or she wants to accomplish, in accordance with magical self-defense rules, and being carried out correctly each step of the way.

Divination in magical practice is used to direct our "fates". That means that by using divination techniques we are able to discover the influences, energies and probability lines active in our lives. Having this information allows us to more accurately and knowingly exert control in our own lives. When delving into the future with divination there are two factors to understand:

1. The future is not set and can be changed any time before it happens.

2. Divination of future events are only the probabilities of what can happen based on assuming that current influences in our lives continue unchanged. Any change in the present will change the future.

Using Divination
If through divination you find a future event that you don't like or don't want, then you can find out what events lead up to it and change them. Making a small change in the present will lead to the future event being changed so that it either doesn't happen or happens differently than what you found in your divination. In terms of doing spellwork or another type of magical procedure, divination allows you to check yourself and make sure you are heading in the right direction to achieve the results you desire. If your divination shows you are not going in the right direction, then you can simply adjust your plan.

Here's an example of how divination can work in your life. Let's say you are going to take a road trip across country. You use divination to see if there are any problems that might occur on the trip and see yourself involved in a car wreck. You can now do some additional divination techniques to gather information such as what other car is involved in the accident or where along the route the accident occurs. Then when it comes time for your trip you can stop before getting to that place in the trip and wait a while or pull off the road and wait until you see the other car pass you by. By making a small change in the present you can change the results in the future and the outcome of your trip.

Firebowl Divination
Using the Firebowl for divination purposes is a simple way to start practicing magical divination techniques. If you don't already have a firebowl, you can find instructions on making one HERE. Divination can be done through direct or indirect methods and the Firebowl provides you with a direct method of divination in that it gives you a visual field that the mind can visually project the information you are seeking. Direct divination methods allow psychic or unconscious perceptions to manifest into the 5 senses so we can understand them. Firebowl divination is very useful for finding people, or objects that you don't know where they are or maybe a lost pet and for looking into the past or the future. Here's how to use the Firebowl for divination:

1. Find a quiet place where you will not be distracted or interrupted.

2. Sit in the South facing North with your Firebowl in front of you.

3. You will not charge the Firebowl for divination purposes like you do for other purposes and a water incense is the best medium to burn as the Water element is the psychic element.

4. Start your incense burning in the Firebowl and wait until you have a good column of smoke going. Add more incense onto the charcoal disk if you need to in order to get a good column of smoke.

5. Hold an image of a person or object if they are connected to the information you are seeking and/or get very curious about the topic, question, person or object.

6. You can ask questions to increase your feeling of curiosity such as "Where is...?", "Where was I in [name time period]?", or What is likely to happen if I...?".

7. Peer into the column of smoke and look for images or visual clues to form. Some people find it easier to close their eyes when looking into the smoke to keep visual distraction out.

8. If you get an image, but not in enough detail to make sense to you, keep asking questions until it becomes clearer or you can ask the image to zoom in or out, shift left or shift right so that you can see more details in the "picture".

Remember that the future is not set. Divinations into the future tell you what is likely to happen if everything stays the same in the present. That is one of the beauties of divination; being able to look ahead and make changes now if we don't like what we see.
