A Simple Magical Ritual to Unwind Problems

Magic can play a big role in your everyday life and you can get rid of a variety of life problems with a simple magical ritual using the pendulum. The pendulum is a great magical tool that can be used for dowsing, divination, diagnosing health concerns and with many other magic techniques. You can buy a pendulum online or at a new age store or you can make your own pendulum with a string or chain and a small rock or other small object like a paperclip. Get your pendulum ready and the next time you have a problem or snag in your life, use it to unwind that problem and magically clear it from your life. Here's how.

Clearing With the Pendulum
1. Hold the string or chain of the pendulum in your dominant hand (hand you naturally point with), let your pendulum hang loose.

2. Visualize the problem that you would like to clear.

3. Holding this visual of the problem in your mind, ask the pendulum if this is a situation that you should and can clear.

4. If the answer is yes, continue with the clearing. If the answer is no, stop the procedure.

5. Start the pendulum swinging in a counter-clockwise direction, asking the pendulum to clear the problem, and visualize the problem resolving. Be specific in what you ask the pendulum to do and specific in your visualization of the problem resolving.

6. Continue focusing on the problem's resolution and clearing it until the pendulum stops spinning in a counter-clockwise direction. If the pendulum stops spinning, begins to move in a horizontal or vertical direction or starts spinning clockwise the problem is cleared.

Of course, since you have free will you can always choose to let the problem back into your mind and your life. To keep the problem cleared, find something else to focus on when it pops into your mind and perform the clearing more than once if you need to. This is a great technique to use with negative and repetitive thoughts too. This is just one of the simple magical techniques you can learn how to do in our Psychic Development ebook. Let magic change your life and change the way you deal with life problems.

Magic Not Working? Get Back to Basics

If you're not seeing the results from your magic practice, maybe it's time to get back to basics. A great way to do this is with our online Basic Magic Courses. If you are new to magic, this is a great way to study real magic from a real teacher that fits anywhere into your schedule and can be done on your own timeline. The same if true if you are an experienced practitioner that just needs a little refresher course on the basics of magic. You can take the full course, or if there's particular topics you want to review, the course is divided into three sections so you can pick and choose what you need. Here's what you'll find in the three levels of the course and then the full course includes it all.

Basic Magic Level 1
This first section of Basic Magic covers the Four Elements of Air, Fire, Water, and Earth in depth. You'll learn the characteristics, correspondences (direction, tool, elemental spirit, part of person, direction of view, colors, and spiritual aspect), techniques for using these elements with your hands, and receive guidance on practicing with the elements until you are thoroughly familiar with them. You also cover the Rules of the Road that govern magical practice, charging and using the Sun Candle, and doing the Navajo Beauty Way to start forming relationships with higher powers and beings.

Basic Magic Level 2
In the second section of Basic Magic we cover more techniques using the four elements with your hands for such things as self-defense including learning to use hand lightning, lightning rods, and fireballs. The course then moves into magical tools for each element, how to obtain or make each of the tools, and techniques each can be used for. Tools covered include the firebowl, Wand (magical Air tool), Athame (magical Fire tool), Chalice (magical Water tool), Plate (magical Earth tool), and the pendulum. This section also takes a dip into divination and some divination techniques to do with these tools as well as how to ward and bind mirrors for protection.

Basic Magic Level 3
The third section of Basic Magic covers the Tarot, including how to key your deck, choose and key signifiers for readings, how to do Celtic Cross readings and twelve card readings. This indepth look at the Tarot also goes into how to do progressed readings, regressed readings and use the Tarot with multiple signifiers. The course then moves into doing spellwork with single candle spells, multiple candle spells and Tarot spells as well as how to use sonics magically to enhance spells and use in other techniques. The final part of the course covers simulacra magic which allows you to do magical operations at a distance. This is particularly useful if you need to do healing work or cut psychic lines on someone who lives far away from you.

As you can see this is a very comprehensive program. That is important for magical study, especially if you are new to magic. There is a magical principle that states, "altered procedures produce altered results". This can lead to disastrous results in a karmic way for you and possibly in physical ways for you or someone else. When you begin a magical practice, you need to have a thorough understanding of what you are doing, why you are doing it in a certain way, what the ramifications of doing it are, and if it is in accordance with the Rules of the Road to be doing it. This is why we don't encourage people to perform spells that someone else has given to them or just blindly follow magical instructions. If you create the spell, then you know all the intentions and parts that have been built into it. This is not always the case for a spell someone else writes and gives to you. Our courses are designed to give you an understanding of how real magic works and present it to you as a precision science with techniques that can be duplicated over and over again.

If you are looking for a magical refresher or a place to start your magical journey, the Basic Magic Courses are the place for you. These online courses will help you develop a safe magic practice with guidance from an experienced online teacher through the format of audio files, video files, class notes and exercises to practice skills. So if you're ready to get serious about studying magic, check them out.

Why A Spell Doesn't Have to Be Complicated

While some magical spells, such as Tarot or multiple candle spells, CAN be complicated, you can also do magical spells that are effective while remaining simple. Our Kindle book 3 outlines a number of simple spells, including using apples magically to get rid of the unwanted such as extra weight, bad debt, bad habits or a health condition, using a magical plate for healing, and getting rid of negative thoughts and emotions with the Firebowl Burn and lots more simple spells and rituals.

You'll also find lots of magical information in this book to help guide you in starting a magic practice. For example, do you know the difference in a ritual and a spell?

What is a Magic Spell?
A spell is a psychic or magic operation or formalized intention utilizing a combination of the elements Air, Fire, Water and Earth, forming them into an energy matrix, and possibly programming factors in it to gain force, momentum and overcome obstacles in order to produce a certain result over a period of time. By this definition chants, litanies, rituals, sonics and even prayers are magic spells. A spell will accomplish its goal by taking the path of least resistance unless directors and limiter (what the spell will and will not do) are programmed into it. This means that even if the goal is in accordance with Rules of the Road governing magical practice, the path it follows to get there may not be in accordance and can be destructive. For this reason a spell requires much more planning and is usually a more complex or involved operation.

What is a Magic Ritual?
A ritual is a type of spell that is usually of the more simple variety. It is typically used more often than other types of spells and repeated even daily to form relationships with and receive guidance from higher beings and powers or to deepen and reaffirm our intentions. Rituals and spells both produce effects that many would view as miraculous, but to higher powers they are normal. Higher powers and beings live on a higher plane than we here on the Earth plane do and the practice of miracles is commonplace for them. Using magical rituals allows us to bring these beings in to guide and help us achieve our desires.

This is just a bit of the magic information awaiting you in Learn How to Do Witchcraft Rituals and Spells with Magical Tools. Get the book for yourself and explore all the magic knowledge and try out the magical procedures for yourself. It's an easy way to study magic on your own schedule in your own time.

Are You a Deep Magical Genius or a Practical Manifester?

Each of us has a different personality. We know this when it comes to friendship or dating. But did you know that you also have a magical personality? You might be primarily an Air, a big time communicator and thinker, or a Water, a person who interacts with the world through emotions, the language of Spirit. Take the test to find out more.

Which of the Four Elements Is Your Dominant Element?
Once you take the personality test and know your personality according to which of the four elements you are most dominant in, how does this help you? Good question. Each of the four elements has its own characteristics associated with it. By knowing what these characteristics are, you'll be able to identify what your strengths are, how you view the world and how you interact with the world and others. This knowledge can help you find the career you are best suited for, know the type of people you are most compatible with when looking for friends or a mate, and give you an understanding of the best way for you to approach situations in your life. It also makes you aware of your challenges so you will be prepared to encounter resistance or difficult situations with a plan for dealing with them already in place. Once you know which of the magical four elements is dominant in your personality by taking the magical personality test, you not only get a better understanding of yourself, but also start looking at others and any situation you encounter in relation to the elements and how best for you to interact with them.

Real Life Example
My adult daughter is totally dominant in the Water element so I know that she views the world and will generally react from an emotional stand in any situation. I, on the other hand, am most dominant in Earth. As a water personality, my daughter views the world from characteristics such as emotions, feelings, intuition, compassion, empathy, sympathy, knowing, and devotion. She always makes herself available to help others, she has a helping service career, and feels very passionate about community and making things "right" for others. She is able to appreciate beauty in her life as well as the gifts and blessings she has. The problems come for her when she takes on too much feeling for others and absorbs their negative energies or when her water energies become stagnant or too dark which causes depression. As an Earth personality, I am often able to help her anchor and ground out these negative energies when this occurs. Knowing my personality characteristic which include strength, endurance, patience, structure, serenity of beingness, solidity, boundaries, permanence, loyalty, persistence, stubbornness, security, and anchor, and knowing hers, I have insight into the best ways to help her when she goes on emotional overload and calls me in tears of frustration, sadness or from being overwhelmed. I know that she will be most successful in situations that allow her to express who she is and stay true to her values, so any conversation we have needs to start with just letting her talk. As an Earth personality, I am able to patiently wait and listen until she winds down and gets all her emotions verbally spewed out. This in itself offers an anchor and some stability to her. I can then offer magical solutions to help her regain energy such as Rooting or going to the nearby river and putting her feet in the moving water. Once she has her emotions balanced again, it is simple to guide her through looking inside herself to find her own answers for her current problem. My role in this process is to simply be an anchor and a rock for her. This is what I am able to share with her just by having an understanding of my four element personality and hers.

On the other hand, as an Earth personality I can be rigid and yes even stubborn at times. These are characteristics that I am aware of and have to be on my guard against. I often lack the emotional connection in situations and with people in favor of organization, practicality and I can be inflexible at times. Especially when interacting with other people, I have to be aware of these challenges and guard against closing off and showing no empathy for others being convinced that I am right and there is no room for compromise. This is when my daughter's personality can be very helpful to me. As an empathetic Water personality, she is able to translate to me what others might be feeling about a situation and give me insights from an emotions perspective. This helps me shift my Earth stance a bit to be able to look for compromise and consider the other person's view on the situation. By knowing these personality characteristics that we each have, my daughter and I are able to help each other through our challenges by lending the strengths we each possess from our dominant element.

Fire and Air
Since we pretty much covered the characteristics for Water and Earth in the example with myself and my daughter, let's take a quick look at characteristics associated with Fire and Air.

Fire - energy, power, will, desire, anger, pain, motivation, radiance, passion, initiative, aggression, limitation, endeavor, activity, creative, willingness, urge, inspired, excitable, courage, bravado, compulsion, fanaticism, frustration, resentment, rage, freedom

Air - seeing, breathing, speaking, hearing, planning, thinking, believing, memorizing, communicating, learning, teaching, information, ideas, wisdom, understanding, worry, sensation, awareness, opinions, data, memory, mind

Look through the characteristics listed for each of the four elements and see which sounds the most like you. This will give you a good idea of your dominant element. You can get an even better idea by taking the four elements personality test. Then look at the people around you that you get along the best with and those that you don't get along with. Consider what their dominant element might be. This will help you find the people you will be the most successful with and help you be aware of those that you will have a challenging relationship with and help you find ways to deal with them. Beginning to see the world from a perspective of the four elements can open a lot of doors for you and help you be successful in whatever you do. This is the start of living a magical life and seeing life from a viewpoint of magic.

Deceptively Simple Ways to Start on Your Magical Path

Contrary to Harry Potter movies or shows like Charmed, magic isn't all about blowing things up, freezing people and items, or even doing spells on the fly. In fact, magic is quite deceptively simple, especially in the beginning. Find out how by reading the many magical rituals and offerings we have on these web pages.

Magical Articles Library
Magical Blog
Magical Facebook Community

Just to show you some of the simple magical rituals and exercises you'll find in the resources, here are a few from our articles library on ways to get your day off to a good start with magic.

PREPAVING: This is one of our favorite magical techniques from Abraham (http://www.abraham-hicks.com). Just sit for 3-5 minutes in a quiet spot and focus on what you want and how you want your day to look. We spend so much time worrying about what we have to do, what we should do and what might happen that we forget what's most important – what we want! So spend a few minutes sending the Universe a few hints about how you want your day to look, and the Universe will deliver exactly that, and then some!

SUN CANDLE: Did you know that the color sun yellow (bright yellow with no orange) actually nourishes and refreshes your Spirit? If you're feeling groggy, grumpy or grouchy, sit in front of a lit sun yellow candle for a few minutes. It will refresh you and give you happy, joyful energy.

CONSCIOUS CHOICE: We spend so much time in our minds that our Spirits don't get much chance to come out and play. Yet, we are happiest when we are living in Spirit rather than in mind. To give you a hint, you were probably most in Spirit when you were a playful child. So, to get your Spirit in gear for a fun and playful day, make a conscious choice – it exercises Spirit. Just say to yourself, "I will now make a conscious choice." Then ask yourself a question such as, "Do I choose to have cereal or toast for breakfast?" Go with the first answer you hear or receive. Following Spirit's guidance will align your energies and make for a positive day.

GREET THE DAY: One way to stay in touch with your Spirit and with nature is to go outside and greet the day. It's simple. Go outside, extend your attention into the sky and say, "Sky Above." Then, extend your attention into the earth and say, "and Earth Below." Then, with attention both above and below, say, "I greet you." Wait a moment and see what gifts the Universe brings you (this is a simple form of the Navajo Beauty Way). You will experience peace, joy, satisfaction and nourishment.

Try these out, then go to our blog or library of articles or join in the fun with us on Facebook. You'll find tons more simple, magical offerings to try out for yourself and invite magic into your life.
