Using Magic to Influence Stubborn or Cranky People

We all have times when we encounter stubborn or cranky people and they can transfer their negative energies to us, or just be a pain to deal with unless you know how to use magic to deal with them. The water bowl technique is a great magical tool to use in dealing with these type of people and situations since it employs the water element which is directly related to emotions and therefore works great for sending psychic messages. Using this magic technique that you will find in our first Kindle book, Learn How to Do Witchcraft Rituals and Spells with Your Bare Hands, you are actually able to hold a Spirit-to-Spirit conversation with someone else.

About the Water Element Water Bowl
A water bowl is a "bowl" you make by holding your elbows snug against your sides, lacing your fingers together in front of you and visualize flowing your energetic Water into. To safely create a water bowl be sure the "bowl" does not go below your belly button and that you only use the bright blue or what we call in magic circles, Water Blue, color of the water element. Do not use dark blue, blue-black or black colors. Also be sure you do not "drop" your water bowl until all your energetic water has been reabsorbed into your body as this can cause you to feel emotionally drained or dehydrated. When working with a water bowl, you need to keep the bowl level to make sure you don't tip any of the water element out of it. In using a water element bowl for conversation you need to keep the conversation light and positive because the water element can be compulsive. For this reason you need to avoid anything in the conversation that could cause someone to take up detrimental behaviors without cause. This is a direct violation of the Rules of the Road that govern magic practice and the Universe will hold you responsible for it. These compulsive qualities do pay off in some circumstances however such as compelling someone to return stolen property of yours, recovering unpaid debts you are owed or banishing someone who is harassing you.

Using the Water Element Bowl for Psychic Conversation
When using a water bowl for conversation, make sure the surface of the energetic water in the bowl is clear and calm before you begin. If it is not, you may need to do some balancing of your own energies before proceeding. See the person's face that you wish to communicate with just beneath the surface of the water in the bowl and become very interested in that person. Feel a strong desire to establish communication with them. This sets up a direct psycho-spiritual link with them. Some people find it helpful to close their eyes for these visualizations to take hold. Once you have established this link, simply talk to the person just as if they were physically present. The water bowl forms a two-way link so you may receive responses from the other person, but since you are communicating straight to the Spirit of the person, the responses may be very different than what you would expect. Once you finish the conversation you will need to be sure to reabsorb the water element energies into your body before taking down the water bowl. If at any time in this process, the water energies become turbulent, cloudy, steamy, or you get a headache or your eyes burn, then you are pushing Fire energy into the bowl. You need to stop, relax and rebalance your energies if this happens.

Without an ugly confrontation or you having to resort to negativity, this magic technique gives you a way to deal with difficult people and difficult situations. You may be surprised at the difference a technique like this can make in your relationships and in dealing with others, but you won't be displeased. Magic can make your life easier in so many ways and this is just one of the techniques that you'll find step by step instructions for in our Kindle books to help get you on that path.

Relationship Magic: Communicating with Someone Based on Elemental Personality Type

If you have been following our series on relationship magic, then you've read how relationship magic is a helpful tool in discovering your own personality traits and those of others in terms of which of the 4 elements most makes up your personality. This information can help you pick a career and relationships that you will be successful in. Here is a quick summary of the basic 4 elemental personality types and some of the characteristics they display.

Air Personality
If your personality is predominantly Air, then you have good communication skills, are adept at planning and are a good mediator. You also are a thinker who is quick to come up with ideas, solutions and inspirations. Your memory is excellent, but you are also easily distracted by various ideas and change your beliefs, opinions and ideas often. Completing projects and tasks is a challenge for you due to being easily distracted and because you like novelty and change rather than stability and practicality.

Fire Personality
If your personality is predominantly Fire, you have a lot of energy and enthusiasm for life. You are achievement oriented and action based. You are probably a natural leader, are creative and easily excited. You may be into thrill seeking through activities such as extreme sports and like to live life in the fast lane. You are easily frustrated by things moving along too slowly and become impatient or irritable with others who are not action oriented or just moving too slowly for you.

Water Personality
People with predominantly Water personalities are empathetic and compassionate people. They are the people others go to for comfort, love or assurance. They are usually caretakers of other people, animals and the planet and often are empaths, psychic and healers. These type of personalities value integrity and harmony and strive to create balance. They are aware of the beauty and gifts in their lives and appreciative of them. The challenge for these people is to not get so involved in other people's problems and emotions that they take them on themselves along with the negative energies. Instead of trying to fix everyone and their problems, they would do better to realize that modeling appreciation, joy and gratitude which comes natural for them is a better way to serve.

Earth Personality
Those people that have predominantly Earth personalities are practical and pragmatic. They are patient, stable, strong in character and persistent. These type of people value loyalty, structure, permanence and boundaries. These usually serene people are good at building strong foundations, finding out how things work, and manifesting. They are not risk takers and can be stubborn, inflexible and slow to make decisions. Collecting too many material possessions is often a downside of this personality type as is getting stuck in a rut.

Relationship Magic: Communication
Once you know your personality type and the personality type of someone you have a relationship with, you can plan ways to "get along with" the other person or possibly know personality types that you should avoid having close relationships with. Let's look at an example and see how this might work.

Leah and Karen work together in an office situation and have jobs that are on equal footing. Leah is an Earth personality and Karen is a Fire personality. They often butt heads due to Leah's tendency to mull things over and take her time before making a decision and Karen's tendency to want things to move quickly. Karen is easily frustrated by her job to begin with because it doesn't always stimulate her need for expressing her passion and creativity and her Fire personality causes her to often want to act before thinking. Leah frustrates her further by wanting to think things through very thoroughly before acting. You can see the problems these two personality types have getting along when they are in a situation that requires them to work together and make joint decisions.

There are a few different ways that Leah and Karen could learn to have better communication that would leave both feeling less frustrated. If they were each aware of their own personality type and each other's type, then they could suggest a division of work that would play to their own strengths. For example for a given problem, Karen could gather data quickly, come up with creative solutions and make her decision on a recommended solution. She could then turn all her work over to Leah to mull over and make a decision. If they do not agree on the solution, then they will need to interact and have communication about it. Being aware of each other's elemental personality, Karen would know that using a slow, deep voice could insure that Leah will be more receptive to what she is saying. Leah would be aware of her tendency to be inflexible and make the extra effort to really listen to Karen, possibly taking her idea and adding a bit of structure to it.

These two personality types at first glance seem like such opposites, but if you really consider each of their strengths, you may find that they could actually complement each other very well in this type situation. Giving Karen tasks that need to be done quickly, that allow her to use creativity and passion and assigning Leah more of the paperwork, computer tasks, and tasks that do not have to have quick decisions but do require organization would work well. So for example if these two women worked in the advertising business, Leah could do in depth research on a product or a new client and then turn this information over to Karen for her to develop some creative campaigns. Leah could then take the campaign and add some solid, practical suggestions. Karen would then do well with creating slides for the presentation while Leah could begin scripting the presentation. According to the personality type of the client, they would decide who would be most compatible with that personality type and the best to do the actual presentation of the campaign.

No matter which personality type or mixture of types you are dealing with, being aware of the strengths and weaknesses can help you use relationship magic to solve most relationship issues. Relationships Magic: Are You A Water Personality?

In our last blog article we discussed relationship magic in relation to the Fire element personality. This article focuses on the Water element personality. When you know which of the 4 elements is most predominant in your personality, you can gain a greater understanding into your relationships with others. Relationship magic entails first of all developing an understanding of the characteristics you display from your predominant element. This gives you insight into your own personality which can lead you to choosing a career and relationships that you will be successful in. If you know what element your personality is, then you can balance with other elements when needing to interact with a person of an incompatible element or to accommodate for certain situations. You can also know what people are good matches with you by determining their elemental make-up.

The Water Element
Magic has a basic principle that almost everything in the Universe is made up of a combination of the 4 elements: Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. Understanding the 4 elements and their characteristics allows you therefore to understand anything in the Universe. That includes your basic personality and your relationships. You can learn more about the Water element in our Magical Element Water short course, but here are some of the basic characteristics associated with the Water element:

emotions, feelings, intuition, compassion, empathy, sympathy, knowing, devotion, quest, aspiration, intention, appreciation, integrity, harmony, beauty, balance, serenity, fluidity, grief, apathy, joy, love

The Water Personality
Look over these characteristics of the Water element carefully and in relation to your own personality. Do these resonant with personality traits that you display? If you are a Water personality you are an empathetic and compassionate person. Other people often turn to you for comfort, love and assurance. You may be involved in causes that take care of others and the planet. Empaths, psychics and healers are often Water personalities. Integrity, compassion, harmony, creating balance and interacting with integrity can all be Water personality values. These type of people are appreciative of beauty and gifts in life. Since they do have a characteristic of empathy so ingrained in their personalities, Water people may find themselves getting over involved in other people's emotions and problems and often taking on their negative energies. They often become over invested in others and take on a caretaking role mistaking that for love. People of this personality type must guard against trying to save or fix everyone and everything and realize that they can better serve through modeling appreciation, gratitude and joy.

The Road to Success With a Water Element Personality
Water personalities will do well in roles in which they are empowered to use their intuitive and empathetic gifts. They need to have interaction with other people, plants, animals or spirit beings to feed their souls. They will also thrive in situations that allow them to spread their appreciation of beauty and joy. Water people need to be in situations that allow them to take good care of themselves first instead of those that insist their needs are put on a back burner in relation to a client's needs or a person's needs that they are in a significant relationship with. Successful situations also include those that allow the Water person to express who they are and stay true to their values.

The first step in relationship magic is finding out your elemental personality type. The information in this article should give you an idea as to whether you are predominantly a Water Personality type.
