How to Do Voodoo: Moving Someone Away from You

We've all had the experience of people being in our vicinity who are less than pleasant, be it a bothersome neighbor or a criminal on the loose in the neighborhood.

With lousy neighbors, if you have tried traditional approaches--such as discussing problems with them or even bringing in law enforcement--to no avail, you still have magical options. The same is true of potentially dangerous people you cannot pinpoint, like burglars committing crimes in your neighborhood. You have no idea as to the identity of the burglars, so what can you do other than beefing up security on your property?

Magically, you do have recourse. You can learn how to do voodoo.

What can voodoo do for you in this case, you ask? Voodoo, or simulacra magic (as we like to call it), can help you move the person out of your sacred space. In fact, simulacra magic can move the person across the country if you so wish. We call this procedure "map moving."

How to Do Voodoo: Map Moving
In principle, map moving is nothing more than a set of simple steps in simulacra magic done in sequence. In case you don't know how to do voodoo (or simulacra magic), all we mean when we say simulacra magic is that we take an object that is a likeness of a person or thing, and we magically connect the object to the person or thing. Once thus magically connected, whatever is done to the object is likewise done to the person or thing.

For instance, you can key a figurine (a voodoo doll, in other words) or a picture to a person. Or you can key a map to a geographic location. To do the map moving magical procedure, you would need to key both. In principle, here is how you would achieve a successful map moving magical act:

1. Key a figurine to the person you wish to move. You can do this by simply holding the figurine in your dominant hand and flowing energy into it while you think thoughts or imagine images of the person. When the figurine feels tingly or hot, it has been keyed. Set the figurine carefully aside.
2. Key two maps to their geographic location. One map would contain the person's current location (be sure the map is large enough that you can mark the person's house). The other map would represent the location to which you will be moving the person.
3. Using a keyed plate (a magical plate that is personalized to your energies), put the person on the map on his or her current location (in a safe place). Leave the tools set up for a week. This associates a person with his or her current location.
4. Next, put the plate between the person and the map. This disassociates the person from his or her current location in preparation for moving. Leave this setup in place for a week.
5. Now replace the map under the plate with the second map, which contains the location of where you want to move the person (in one instance, we placed a map containing the location of the police station in preparation for moving a burglar to the station). Leave this setup in place for a week.
6. Finally, put the map on the plate, and the person on the exact location where you want him or her to be moved. In the case of the burglar, we put the simulacra (otherwise known as the voodoo doll) on the new desired location. With the burglar, we put the simulacra right on top of the police station. The person eventually turned himself in to the police without any further direct physical action on anyone else's part.

Learning how to do voodoo can be pretty neat, huh? You can learn specifically how to do this and other voodoo procedures in our "How To Do Voodoo" ebook.

How to Do Voodoo: Caveats
With magic, as with everything else, there are of course caveats. If you want to do a procedure like map moving, you have to be sure that you are "in the right," so to speak. That means you need to know and ensure that you are operating within the magical laws of:

1. Self Defense
2. Rules of the Road

If that be so, then you are all clear to do all kinds of simulacra magic for protection, attraction, manifestation, invisibility, and much more! All of this is covered in the Voodoo ebook.

Voodoo Dolls: How Do They Work?

There is much that you can do with Voodoo magic, but what most people associate with it are voodoo dolls. Yes, voodoo dolls are real, not just something made up in fictional stories. The practice of Voodoo is much more than just using voodoo dolls. It also involves circle rituals, dancing, singing, drumming and ancestor worship, but since the use of voodoo dolls are the most familiar, let's start there and see how they work.

What Is a Voodoo Doll?
A voodoo doll is simply a simulacrum. A simulacrum is an object that is the likeness of something. So the voodoo doll is a likeness of a person and is used to represent that person. Once a psychic connection is made between the voodoo doll and that person, whatever you do to the doll affects the person. This is useful when you want to perform a magical operation on someone who is far away from you. Making the psychic connection between the voodoo doll and the person is also called "keying" the doll. This is basically done by holding the voodoo doll in your dominant hand and flowing energy into it by thinking of all you know about the person. This is a simplified explanation of the process involved and more information is available in our How to Do Voodoo ebook if this is something you are interested in pursuing. This type of magic is also referred to as simulacra magic and the ebook goes into much more depth as to the uses and techniques of this fascinating branch of magical study.

How Voodoo Dolls Work
Once the voodoo doll is keyed, it is connected to the person. The Law of Similarity tells us that the greater a likeness of a simulacrum is the greater the psychic connection will be. For this reason many magical practitioners use actual photos of a person instead of a voodoo doll. Others get more creative and create a doll so that they have an entire body and use a picture face of the person in the doll. The more the voodoo doll resembles the person it is being keyed to, the greater the connection will be between the doll and the actual person. Now whatever magical operation you use on the doll will benefit the person it is keyed to. So for example, one of our advanced students recently took on a project of ridding a friend that lived 800 miles away from her of a long-time scar. Using the voodoo doll she created of her friend and keyed to the friend, she was able to use her athame with various beams of fire colors, sweeping and pulling methods to reduce the scar. That is just one example of the many, many magical things that can be done with a voodoo doll. Pretty much any magical operation that can be performed on a person can be performed on the voodoo doll instead with the results affecting the person keyed to the doll.

Rules of the Road
Usually when voodoo dolls are portrayed in works of fiction, it is to harm someone else or bind them in some way such as falling in love with you. This is not the intended safe use of a voodoo doll however. Remember the Universal Laws that govern magical practice and only use the voodoo doll in ways that are in accordance with these rules. Using magical practice that goes against these rules can result in backlash for the practitioner and is not using safe magic. Used correctly, a voodoo doll is a great magical tool for healing, balancing energies, and helping others in a multitude of ways. Just make sure you are on the right side of the Rules of the Road and as with all magical procedures, think it through and enjoy the magic!

What is a Voodoo Doll in Magical Terms?

Voodoo and voodoo dolls in particular have been portrayed in movies, books and television for a long time as a dark and mysterious type of magic. In actuality, Voodoo is a West African religion also known as Vodun, Vodoun, Vodou, Vudu and Voudou. The voodoo doll is just one part of the practice, but seems to be the one most people are familiar with. They can be a very useful tool for a wide spectrum of magical procedures.

What Is A Voodoo Doll Used For
The voodoo doll has the same use as what many magical practitioners refer to as a simulacrum. A simulacrum is an object that is a likeness of something. Simulacra can also include photographs, pictures, figurines, symbols, lists, and Tarot cards. They are objects used to capture the essence of that which you seek to affect. It is best not to use simulacra made of plastic or rubber as they do not "key" well. If your object is made of wood, make sure it is a dense wood or there may be problems "keying" it as well.

Using simulacra allows you to do magical procedures on people and things you are not in direct physical contact with. In fact the person you affect can be all the way on the other side of the world, or you can affect a global situation. By making a psychic connection, between the simulacrum or voodoo doll and the person or situation, you can perform the magical procedure on the doll or simulacrum and the person or thing it is connected to will get the benefits. By the Universal Law of Similarity, the more likeness between a simulacrum and that which it is keyed to, the greater the psychic connection. So the more your simulacrum looks like the person or the situation you want to affect the greater they will be affected.

How To Key A Voodoo Doll
As an example, take the case of using a voodoo doll to do a long distance healing with someone hundreds of miles away from you. Making the psychic connection or "keying" is done by holding the voodoo doll in your dominant or "output' hand and thinking of everything you know about the person. Continue this until it feels charged, warm, heavy or tingly or some describe it as a feeling that the doll is "alive" or they felt it wiggle. The voodoo doll is then keyed to that person. At this point you must be very careful with the voodoo doll. Anything you do to it will affect the person it is keyed to. So you don't want to go off for the weekend and leave it lying around for the cat to bounce around the room causing injury to the person. You need to do your magical procedure whether it be a healing technique, putting up an omnil for protection or whatever and then unkey the doll or simulacrum.

How To Unkey A Voodoo Doll
To "unkey" a simulacrum, you cut the psychic connection lines with a keyed athame (fire element tool) and throw a blast of electric blue energy at it from your athame. Some Wiccan practitioners also will bury the simulacrum in the earth for a moon cycle to complete the "unkeying" process.

Be sure that any magical operation you are attempting using a voodoo doll or simulacrum has been thought through thoroughly as always and that you are following the Rules of the Road (Universal Laws governing magical practice) to avoid any karmic backlash. Voodoo dolls and other types of simulacra can be extremely useful tools for a wide variety of magical healing, protection, and communication if used appropriately. They help expand the range of using your magical techniques to help others and are a great tool to add to your magical toolbox.

How to Do Voodoo

Do you want to know how to do Voodoo? So do a lot people, and most of them particularly want to know how to use Voodoo dolls. The use of Voodoo dolls has become well-known in popular culture mostly through movies, books, and television. Voodoo has also been portrayed as a dark, mysterious, and often morbid tradition. In actuality, Voodoo is simply a West African religion, which is also known by similar names like Vodun, Vodoun, Vodou, Vudu, and Voudou. Voodoo practices include much more than the use of dolls, and involve circle rituals, dancing, singing, drumming, and ancestor worship.

Voodoo Dolls
But let's focus for a moment on Voodoo dolls. If you want to know how to do Voodoo you have to know something about the use of the Voodoo doll. A Voodoo doll, in more normal magical terms, is a simulacrum. A simulacrum is an object that is a likeness of something. In magical operations, if you want to affect a person without direct action, you could choose an object that resembles the person (like a small figurine) and make a psychic connection between the object and the person. To make this psychic connection, also called "keying," you just hold the object in your dominant hand and think of the person. Flow thoughts and energy about that person into the object until the object begins to feel warm or tingly. Now the object is connected to the person and, depending on how strong the connection is, anything that happens to the object also happens to the person.

For a simulacrum you can use photographs, pictures, dolls and other small models, lists, symbols, Tarot layouts, and other objects as simulacra. You can also use chess pieces or objects made of stone, ceramic, wood or glass. If you use wood be sure it is fairly dense otherwise it will not easily key. Plastic and rubber do not key well so don't use them. According to the Law of Similarity, the greater the likeness between a simulacrum and that to which the simulacrum is keyed, the greater the psychic connection will be. Photographs and pictures have a great likeness to the original subjects and they already access the original subjects. So now you know a little more about how to do Voodoo, or at least the principles of how Voodoo dolls work.

Be Careful with Simulacra
Of course, be very careful about keying simulacra. If the connection between the simulacra and person is very strong, anything that happens to the object happens to the person. If something accidental happens to the simulacra and also happens to the person, according the Rules of the Road (the laws that govern magical practice) the Universe will hold you responsible. You really don't want that kind of karma on your hands. For instance, once a practitioner keyed a figurine to a person and then left the figurine on a table. While the practitioner was out of the house, his cats began playing with the figurine, batting it about and throwing it in the air. The person to whom the figurine was keyed felt horribly nauseous and dizzy until the practitioner returned home and rescued the figurine. Take this example as a warning if you want to learn how to do Voodoo. Don't key anything for which you don't want to be ultimately and forever responsible!
